Morning Star Summer ’25

This year, the Morning Star Camp season kicked off with ladies traveling by plane, bus, or car from to participate in the Morning Star Leadership Week, held from June 15-21. This program, designed for girls dedicated to living and sharing their Catholic faith, is always a favorite among the Sisters. The year 2025 turned out to be one for the books! Of the 100 campers, only 14 were new participants. The schedule featured a variety of memorable events, particularly the Feast of Corpus Christi. Leadership Camp was spirited from start to finish!

Following this, a week of regular Morning Star Summer Camp took place for girls ages 10-14 from June 22-28. Many new campers filled the cabins, and it was exciting to see the camp spirit begin to catch on. Thanks to a dedicated team of counselors, the week flowed smoothly, and 100 new MSC girls carried their light of faith back home with them, continuing to “Follow Mary” until they regroup next year.

Morning Star Teen Week, which ran from July 6-12, was exclusively for teens and was packed with all the spirit and energy one could imagine! The beautiful weather and lively group contributed to a wonderful week. Participants enjoyed learning new sign language for camp songs, and the fishing boat became a favorite activity, with approximately 60 fish caught!

The second regular week of Morning Star Summer Camp occurred from July 13-19, concluding the girls’ camps at our home facility for the season. Campers filled all 120 bunks, and the schedule included catechism, art, music, and more, all infused with excitement and enthusiasm from the happy campers. Each week concludes with a Talent Night followed by a candlelight procession, which is always a touching finale as we all thank Our Lady for a wonderful week.

Thank you, Blessed Mother, for all four of the wonderful weeks of Morning Star Camp 2025! Ave Maria!

Corpus Christi 2025

The Morning Star Camp season has officially begun at our home camp facility! The 2025 Leadership Camp participants made history by celebrating the Feast of Corpus Christi for the first time during the program. Thanks to Father McCambridge, FSSP, the camp chaplain (and to our servers who made the trek), we enjoyed a beautiful Sung Mass, procession, and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

The feast was further commemorated with our first-ever Corpus Christi Banquet, which campers enjoyed in Mission Hall that evening. This occasion provided an excellent opportunity to remind these young ladies that true Catholic leaders should be living monstrances, showing Christ to the world! We thank God for this important feast and for the gift of being able to celebrate it in a place that is very dear to our hearts. Enjoy the photos!

May Procession 2025

“May the Mother of Jesus and our Mother, always smile on your spirit, obtaining for it, from her Most Holy Son, every heavenly blessing.” ~St. Padre Pio

This year our annual May Procession to honor our Blessed Mother took place on Mother’s Day! How perfect! Enjoy the video!

We Moved In!

We have officially moved into the new addition at IHM School, which includes a brand-new refectory and kitchen! Although we are still adjusting to the layout of the new space, it has been fantastic to have more room to work with. Just take a look at this spectacular view of the valley from our dining room! For more pictures from the day we moved into the addition, check out the full gallery on the monastery website here! Thank you for your support!

The Sisters love their new refectory!

Easter Pilgrimage

During Easter Week, we embarked on a Ladies’ Pilgrimage to New York! Our journey began at The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met Cloisters specializes in European medieval art and architecture, with a focus on the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Managed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it features an extensive collection of medieval artworks displayed within the architectural settings of French monasteries and abbeys.

Afterward, we visited the Saint Frances Cabrini Shrine in NYC, a short distance away. We were blessed to venerate Mother Cabrini’s relics and explore the museum and artifacts related to her missionary work. Sister Maria Francesca particularly enjoyed this special visit to her patroness! It was such a fun day with a wonderful group of Catholic ladies. We can’t wait for our next pilgrimage!
