Morning Star Indiana

Two sisters brought the spirit of Morning Star Camp to Sacred Heart Parish in Fort Wayne, Indiana, earlier this month! Many of the campers had attended last year and dove right into the packed program of prayer and activities. From Rosary and Religion class to Arts and Crafts and “Campfire Singing,” the girls learned to “Follow Mary, the Morning Star” in all of their actions.

Each of the three days included fun games and competitions, interspersed with times for prayer. Campers learned the Mercy Chaplet and also lead the decades of the Rosary with specific intentions. The days were full and happy, and lots of memories were made along the way! Our Lady walks among her campers!

The Sisters were so happy to bring the prayer, catechism Morning Star fun to the campers of Sacred Heart Parish, and we pray their hearts have been brought closer to Mary, the Morning Star.

Morning Star Louisiana

Four Sisters followed the Morning Star to the bayous of Louisiana for a southern-style Morning Star Camp again this year! A vivacious group of 61 campers and 8 counselors brought the trustworthy program to life during the 4-day program held at the Camp Abbey facility in Covington LA.

Thanks to local pastors, the group was blessed to start each day with the traditional Latin Mass in the Chapel on the grounds. Each day was off to a great start… and thanks to the time-honored program and some great cajun cooking (and King Cake) everything else just flowed along! Campers were housed in four cozy bunkhouses and a staff of 8 young women assisted the Sisters as counselors. From music and dancing, catechism, crafts and sports to games, relays, campfire songs, evening Rosary and even a rainy night Movie ~ it was simply the wholesome fun that make up Morning Star memories!

Special thanks to Gretchen R. and Jeanne K. who spearheaded this event and did everything necessary to make it run smoothly! May Our Lady Morning Star shine down on you with her choicest blessings! We are looking forward to MSC South 2021 already!

Christmas 2019

Merry Little Christmas! The world moves on… but we know that the beautiful season of Christmas is still here! What a blessing it is to enjoy this feast and season of the Prince of Peace here in the pleasant calm of the monastery!

A giant “Thank You” to all the nurseries that generously donated greens to make our Chapels here a worthy place to welcome the little King of kings! Both IHM Chapel (our public monastery chapel) and Gate of Heaven Chapel (our private convent chapel) were spectacular this year!

We are so thankful, also, to all those made our festivities here so wonderful, by sending gifts, baking cookies or sending along their love with just a simple Christmas card! You are in our thoughts and prayers! May the Infant Savior bless you all!

Enjoy a few photos of the Christmas season below!

Thank You!

A giant “Thank You” to all who supported our apostolates here at Saint Benedict Center this December!

Our campaign to raise the $200,000 to cover the steel and the rest of the foundation for our School Expansion Project began with Giving Tuesday (the annual global day of giving). We raised half of the needed funds from December 1–24!  And that is only the beginning. For the first time in all our building endeavors we have made a goal of finishing in one year. Trusting in God and prayers, we know it can happen with your help!

From everyone here, we thank you for your generous support.

Make sure you watch the video the Sisters made to help promote this campaign! Make a donation today and help support Traditional Catholic Education!

Giving Tuesday Video

Giving Tuesday is coming up on December 3rd! Please remember our Expansion Project for Immaculate Heart of Mary School when you are looking for good charities to help on that day!

Every donation, big or small, will be blessed by God… and you will be helping us form more young people in a Traditional Catholic Education! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Watch the video below which was made by the Sisters MICM to help promote this important project… and remember us on Giving Tuesday! God bless you!
